Meet Dr. Joe Griffin, Florence, SC Plastic Surgeon
Joe A. Griffin, III, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Griffin has earned an excellent reputation in the cosmetic surgery community by applying his expert surgical skills and providing each patient with safety, privacy and comfort. He is highly trained and experienced in all aspects of cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery.
A native of Florence, South Carolina, Dr. Griffin received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed both his General Surgery residency and his Plastic Surgery residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He also completed a Burn Fellowship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship with Baker and Gordon in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Griffin is recognized for clinical excellence in all types of breast surgery and cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Special interests include cosmetic facial surgery, surgery of the breast, body contouring and breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
After receiving his medical training in 1989, Dr. Griffin returned to Florence with his wife Kate to establish his practice. They have three daughters.
